  1. Pentru a decoji rosiile , se indeparteaza cotorul , se face o incizie in forma de cruce pe fundul rosiei si se introduc in apa fierbinte si se lasa in jur de 30 de secunde.Apoi se scot si se introduc in apa rece cu gheata.
  2. Aluatul de clatite se lasa sa se "odihneasca" 30 de minute pentru ca faina sa elibereze glutenul si clatitele sa isi pastreze forma.
  3. Cartofii curatati se pun imediat in apa rece pentru a nu oxida.
  4. Sosul de rosii cel mai gustos este cel facut din rosii prunisoare.
  5. Timpul ideal de fierbere al oualor este intre 5 si 8 minute (3/4 minute pentru ouale moi , 5/6 minute pentru cele medii si 7/8 minute pentru cele tari ).
  6. Ceapa nu trebuie lasata sa se arda deoarece va da un gust amar preparatelor.
  7. Dupa ce se adauga smantana la un preparat pe foc, acesta nu trebuie lasat sa mai clocoteasca.
  8. Ca sa fiarba mai repede, fasolea se lasa peste noapte in apa la inmuiat.
  9. Cand se fierb leguminoase verzi sau verdeturi , nu trebuie folosit capacul (pentru ca acestea sa-si pastreze culoarea).
  10. Daca aveti de prajit ceva in cantitate mai mare,dupa prima transa se mai adauga putin ulei deoarece acesta se pierde la prajit , iar daca ramane putin ulei in tigaie se arde usor si degaja acroleina - o substanta toxica - .
