Vara este cel mai călduros anotimp dar și cel mai așteptat, mai ales de către copii. Este anotimpul vacanțelor, zilele sunt mai lungi iar copiii pot să-și petreacă foarte mult timp în aer liber, afară la joacă sau în concediu cu părinții. Când spui vară te gândești la mare, la plajă, nisip și mult soare dar și la plimbări lungi sau drumeții pe munte. Poienițele sunt adevărate covoare de flori multicolore iar iarba grasă asigură o hrană excelentă pentru animale. Grădinile oamenilor sunt pline de legume proaspete, rodul muncii lor, iar copacii de fructe care dau în pârg. Soarele strălucitor mângâie cu razele lui copacii și toate viețuitoarele învăluind totul într-o atmosferă de basm. Uneori această liniște este întreruptă de ploi de scurtă durată care mai răcoresc atmosfera. Alteori aceste ploi se pot transforma în furtuni cu grindină sau vijelii cu tunete și fulgere care despică cerul! Pârâiașele formate devin uneori torente care mătură totul în calea lor. Dar după furtună apare curcubeul și în cele din urmă se așterne din nou liniștea. Nu durează mult și găzele și păsările își reiau activitatea și totul reintră în normalitate.
