Capitol e restaurantul hotelului cu acelasi nume, situat in plin centrul Bucurestiului, pe Calea Victoriei, vizavi de Capsa si de Casa Armatei. Are o arhitectura monumentala, din vremurile frumoase ale Bucurestiului, despre care s-au scris carti dragi multor generatii. Cu siguranta ca in acele vremuri, ba chiar si pe timpul lui Ceausescu, la Capitol se intamplau lucruri frumoase (in vremurile frumoase), respectiv se manca una-alta (cand traia Ceausescu). Acum nu se mai intampla nimic! Probabil ca surpriza personalului de la Capitol a fost de proportii cand au vazut ca intra doi clienti in restaurant (noi, adica). Au aprins luminile in restaurant, in cinstea noastra. La caldura nu au mai apucat sa dea drumul - oricum ar fi durat vreo saptamana sa se incalzeasca locul acela - incat am tremurat atat de tare cum nu mi s-a mai intamplat decat o singura data in viata mea de client al unui restaurant, si aceea a fost la La Blanca. Mancare mai ieftina decat la Capitol nu prea am mai vazut in Bucuresti. Dar si gustul a fost pe masura: produse proaste de la supermarket, trecute putin prin ulei incins si puse in farfurie. Ne simteam si prost cu vreo trei chelneri in jurul nostru, adunati ca la urs. Au fost foarte amabili si stiau sa-si faca treaba, dar ce folos... (GB)
