Pekin e unul dintre cele mai vechi restaurante chinezesti ale Bucurestiului, deschis la scurt timp dupa Revolutie in Pasajul Villacrosse. Din 1994 a trecut in mainile actualului proprietar, cu acelasi chef roman de aproape 18 ani. Restaurantul e mic, are 5 mese. E amenajat "chinezeste", cu culori tari, violente, contraste puternice. Mocheta de pe jos iti da un sentiment neplacut, la fel ca si unele decoruri de o culoare incerta.

A fost o vreme, demult, cand unii bucuresteni spuneau ca mancarea chinezeasca de la Pekin e cea mai buna din oras. Acum nu cred ca ar mai spune nimeni asa ceva. Poate ca nu din cauza lor, ci a numeroaselor optiuni pe care le avem la indemana. Plecand de aici, si preturile mi s-au parut cam mari, o masa completa pentru o singura persoana putand sari bine de 100 de lei. Serviciul a fost bun, cu o doamna care te primea si se purta ca acasa la ea.

Deci, Pekin nu prea mai e un restaurant chinezesc la care sa mergi chitit pe mancarea chinezeasca, mai ales ca nu e usor de ajuns in zona altfel decat pe jos. (GB)
