Restaurantul - cafenea de pe Iorga, dupa Pasapoarte, in apropiere de Piata Romana, pare sa fie mai mult o anexa a unui centru de infrumusetare ("luxury beauty center" - www.mikobeauty.ro - cum se prezinta), care ocupa o buna parte frumoasei vile din acea zona eleganta a Bucurestiului. Restaurantul propriu-zis e la subsol, iar in curtea de pe doua laturi ale casei, frumoasa si ea, cu multi copaci batrani, e amenajata o terasa-cafenea cu mari umbrele Stella Artois. Pe langa serviciile de infrumusetare, am vazut ca sub acest brand, "Miko", mai au si unele cu iz medical (Miko Med si Miko Young - www.mikomed.ro), asa ca au inscris si restaurantul in acest concept unitar, prezentandu-l ca: "Restaurant Miko Palace, primul restaurant - bistro din Romania cu produse bio - eco. Restaurantul Miko Palace va ofera o selectie rafinata din bucatariile franceza, italiana si asiatica cu ingrediente bio - eco. Anumite meniuri sunt realizate sub stricta indrumare si supraveghere a medicilor nutritionisti din centrele Miko." Acum, ca produsele lor sunt bio, sau eco, sau amandoua, as putea sa-i cred, pentru ca bio-eco-ul nu prea se simte la gust. Oricum, am vazut ca au gasit furnizori de legume eco si bio cu forme si culori perfecte, adica ceva cu totul si cu totul remarcabil si iesit din comun... Insa ca e o "bucatarie rafinata" (presupunand ca asta au vrut sa sugereze cu "selectie rafinata"), aici nu prea mai sunt de acord. Mancarea e destul de obisnuita la Miko Palace, cu feluri mai mult din bucataria italiana si facuta cam in graba. Serviciul e inutil ceremonios, pretios si afectat, total neadecvat locului, mai ales ca am vazut clientela feminina mai mult in treninguri si in tinute specifice celorlaltor activitati ale Miko Palace-ului. Preturile nu sunt mici deloc, insa daca ai in farfurie chiar produsele descrise in pliante, atunci se justifica. (GB)
